During the first casting for the ORF (Austrian broadcaster) show 'Wettlauf zum Südpol' (‘Race to the South Pole’) in Allentsteig, Hermann Maier (Austrian skiing star) lodged in the Faulenzerhotel in Friedersbach.

Smouldering fire in our chips shelter ...

On Friday, January 29, 2011, a fire in our chips shelter caused us a great shock. Thanks to the prompt action of our surrounding fire brigades there was only minor damage.

At this point we really want to thank all the helpers again.

The cause of the fire seems to have been a technical defect of the system.

The fire primarily affected our cellar rooms.

Our hotel lobby, which was affected by the smoke, has already been neutralised (concerning the smell) by a special company.

The traces of the fire have all been eliminated and thus there is unrestricted service again ... the lazing and relaxing can continue :-)
